Prayer Requests

Prayer Requests

Welcome to Calvary Chapel Brentwood’s prayer and praise page! It’s our desire to provide our friends a place to post prayer requests and praise reports for the edification of the body of Christ and for the glory of our God! We know by experience our God’s magnificent love and power toward us through His countless answer to prayer.

Come and hear, all you who fear God, And I will declare what He has done for my soul. I cried to Him with my mouth, And He was extolled with my tongue. If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear. But certainly God has heard me; He has attended to the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, Who has not turned away my prayer, Nor His mercy from me!  - Psalm 66:16-20

Physical Illness

In November my friends experienced a house fire that forever changed their lives. I wanted to share this amazing note from them and thank everyone for the continued prayers.
Those of you who may wonder “is there really a God”, please continue reading this post… On November 13, 2011, my sweet nephew, Tripp, was flown by jet to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. When he arrived with third degree burns covering 87% of his little body, his doctor gave him a 20% chance of living. I distinctly remember Hannah telling me that the doctor gave her very li…ttle hope, saying we should look at it as a football field, some kids would make it to the 5 yard line, some to the 25 yard line, some to the 50 yard line, but many wouldn’t make it any further than that. With his first successful surgery, Tripp was only on the “5 yard line”, and each day we prayed that God would continue working his miracles and move that little boy on down that field toward his ultimate “goal”. The doctor said if Tripp did survive, he would more than likely be in the hospital for several months, possibly even a year, and that the miracle would be when Tripp walks out of that hospital. TODAY, after enduring his 22nd and final surgery, my sister called and said that Tripp’s doctor told her he hoped Tripp would be going home within the next couple of weeks! In just a little over four months, Tripp has moved from the 5 yard line to the 95 yard line, all because of your prayers, God’s grace, and the love of a special guardian angel he has watching over him. Don’t get me wrong, Tripp has lots of painful physical therapy to endure and emotional scars that will need to be dealt with, but God has a plan for this little boy, just as He had a plan for Delmer! Much, much love to all who have been praying! – Jessica, 3/12/12

Praise that my mom, Marilyn, successfully went through surgery and is now off the ventilator! Now it’s just strength and physical therapy! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for all the love, encouragement and prayer! The CCB family is awesome! – Barbara, 10/31/11
