Trent and Kristin Schmidt

Trent
I grew up in a very moral and loving Catholic home that knew Jesus Christ as the Savior of the world, but didn’t fully comprehend Him as our personal Savior. As a junior in high school, I was never fully satisfied and was attempting to find fulfillment in drugs, relationships and success in sports. All this changed when I was not only introduced to the consequences of my actions, but to a more personal and caring Jesus Christ. My parents had begun seeking the Lord apart from the Catholic church, and when confronted with the fears of my own selfish choices, I chose to quit avoiding Jesus Christ and found out what it meant to have salvation, grace and a personal relationship with Him. Today I am continuing to strive after a deeper, more intimate relationship with Him and I am constantly blown away at his abounding grace, mercy and provision. Praise be to God!
Kristin
I was raised in a Christian home, but did not allow the Lord to be leader of my life until I was almost 20 years old. It finally became apparent to me that the world had nothing to offer me but stress, guilt and heartache! I was finally ready to pursue a relationship with the One who had created me and preserved me through twenty years of bad decisions and trials. Trent and I were dating at the time, and he was very influential in my transformation. I am so grateful to him for being patient with me during that time! At almost 28 years old, I am still a work in progress, as we all are, but I’m enjoying learning more about the Lord’s love and mercy daily! I can’t wait to see what God has in store for me.
